Jacqueline Gerson

Jacqueline Gerson was born in Mexico City in 1957 and emigrated to San Francisco, CA in 1976. She major in Communications and Fine Arts from Santa Clara University and began displaying her art in the university's de Saisset Museum in 1978.

Jacqueline brings a combination of talents and interests in the arts. She is an accomplished mix media artist, she expresses herself using canvases and ceramics, on her canvases she uses ropes, clothes, bottles and non-disposable materials that she collects. She has also created a graffiti wall piece in her own dining room walls.

Her interest in the arts ranges from her work as a docent in the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art for 12 years, to a patron of multiple Bay Area film festivals, the Opera, the Symphony, Theatre and Modern Dance Performances. She acts as a consultant for art related events in San Francisco and New York where she spends 2-4 weeks per year.

Jacqueline started to collect art in the mid eighties and has assemble a varied collection that includes photographs, lithographs and paintings from artists such as Nan Goldin, Jack Sturges, Michael Kenna, Robert Rauchenberg, Ramond Sanders, Ido Barel, Nir November Hod and Andres Serrano.

Jacqueline has been married to Alex Gerson since 1976 and they have two daughters: Stephanie born in 1980 and Daniela in 1982. Jacqueline has instilled in her family and close friends a deep enthusiasm and love for the arts.
